December 2015

Where did the year go? It seems like spring was just yesterday, but in reality winter is just around the corner.

It has been a very busy last few months for Lee Mechanical as a whole. We just recently have put another company picnic in the books. Although the weather didn’t quite agree with us, the turnout was more than we could have hoped for. Thank you to everyone that attended and to all those involved in running the event.

We are now hovering just shy of around 500 colleagues in Lee Mechanical. Even with the increased amount of work and people around the company, we are not sacrificing safety. I will congratulate all of you on not having an MSHA recordable over the last quarter! That is great progress and shows the time and effort everyone is putting in to not only paying attention to his/her tasks, but looking out for others as well. It lets our customers know that we are thinking through our daily tasks and not compromising on safety for any reason.

Now, we need to take this momentum and finish the year strong. We are coming up on the holiday season and everyone knows that brings its own set of distractions. The holidays, although great, are repeatedly shown to increase stress and distract us. We have to make sure we are vigilant in our attention to what we are doing in the present and how it is affecting those around us.

The holidays usher in a time for family and friends, a time for celebrations, and a time to be thankful and grateful for all we have. We want to make sure no one is celebrating the holidays hurt or injured from going to work and doing daily tasks. We all need to make sure we are committed to making this holiday one that everyone can enjoy in the same condition they have come to work in.

We sincerely hope you have a great holiday season and look forward to the New Year!
